Brand

lattice ADR-0014 records grantr's identity. It prints in yellow and key, since grants are keys, and its mark is a shield: artifactr's caret turned over, in key, with a slab across its top, in yellow. Where the slab crosses the arms, and where the arms cross at the foot, is its overprint, a dark gold, which is its working colour: yellow's own shade, rather than the near-black yellow and key would make. tokens.json holds its colours.

Colours

Name Light Dark Role
Yellow #FFC400 #FFD54A The slab. Never text
Key #1C1D26 #8C8E9E The arms. On dark backgrounds, stackr's tint, so the overprint and the yellow stand apart from it
Dark gold #6B5300 #FFF6D6 The overprint; the wordmark; the working colour
Paper #FAF8F0 #1A170C The banner's background
Graphite #625A45 #C4BBA3 Secondary text, such as the banner's tagline

Dark gold is 7.34:1 on white and 16.49:1 on the site's dark background, #0D1920; graphite is 6.44:1 and 9.37:1 on the papers.

Known weaknesses

  • Its inverted triangle is near evalr's tick. Both arms reach the top of the grid, where the tick cuts one short; it is symmetric, where the tick leans; and the slab closes it.
  • It borrows two siblings' shapes: artifactr's caret, turned over, and stackr's slab.
  • On paper its overprint is lighter than the key it crosses, where lattice's overprints are darker than both their inks.
